چکیده

A Pseudomonas citronellolis strain was isolated from drilling waste (DW). This utilizes DW as the sole energy and carbon source to produce biosurfactants (BSs). The BS produced thermally stable, amorphous includes a peptide structure. FeSO4, FeCl3 Fe(NO3)3 were supplemented at various concentration levels assess possible enhancement of production biodegradation. limit Fe compounds between increase in formation microbial toxicity 0.1 mM. enhanced biodegradation more than doubled yield, determining an optimization strategy for production. then partially purified used against several Gram-negative positive multi-drug resistant bacteria (such Klebsiella pneumoniae, aeruginosa, Escherichia coli spp, Acinetobacter baumaniii, Enterococcus faecalis Streptococcus Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enterica). minimum inhibitory defined range 0.25 10 mg/mL. antimicrobial properties established its effectiveness suggested down-stream processing cost reduction, no additional purification steps necessary. study could lead sustainable low-cost bioprocess towards circular bioeconomy because waste, non-expensive substrate, is used; while holds great potential novel compound with antibiotic disinfectant-like action, following testing human cells.

Mass spectrometry analysis of surface tension reducing substances produced by a pah-degrading Pseudomonas citronellolis strain

In this work we investigated the structure of the iron-stimulated surface tension reducing substances produced by P. citronellolis 222A isolated from a 17-years old landfarming used for sludge treatment in petrochemical industries and oil refinery. Its mass spectrum differs from P. aeruginosa spectrum, indicating that the surface tension reducing substances produced by P. citronellolis can be a...

Biosurfactant production by a new Pseudomonas putida strain.

Observation of both tensio-active and emulsifying activities indicated that biosurfactants were produced by the newly isolated and promising strain Pseudomonas putida 21BN. The biosurfactants were identified as rhamnolipids, the amphiphilic surface-active glycolipids usually secreted by Pseudomonas spp. Their production was observed when the strain was grown on soluble substrates, such as gluco...

Novel rhamnolipid biosurfactants produced by a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon-degrading bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain NY3.

A novel rhamnolipid biosurfactant-producing and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAH)-degrading bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain NY3 was isolated from petroleum-contaminated soil samples. Strain NY3 was characterized by its extraordinary capacity to produce structurally diverse rhamnolipids. A total of 25 rhamnolipid components and 37 different parent molecular ions, representing various...

Antimicrobial Activity of a Biosurfactant Produced by Bacillus licheniformis Strain M104 Grown on Whey

The aim of the present study was to investigate the antimicrobial effect of the lipopeptide biosurfactants produced by Bacillus licheniformis strain M104 grown on whey. The biosurfactant was investigated for potential antimicrobial activity by using the disc-diffusion method against different Gram-positive bacteria {B subtilis, B. thuringiensis (two strains), B. cereus, Staphylococcus aureus (t...
